Victoria Sterkin, PhD is a behavior analyst focused on therapeutic learning with individuals, couples, families and organizations. Clients are given the skills and modalities to move through the world in a more conscious and functional way. There is a focus on flexibility, discernment, collaboration, and curiosity to shift away from fragmentation and instead reinforce interpersonal and intrapersonal integration. Victoria’s directive is to dissect one’s patterns while comprehensively effecting change at the root. From there she and the client develop new ways of accessing connection and facilitating progress, such that positive emotion and safe connection are woven into new behaviors, allowing old patterns to dissipate. She is recommended for anyone who not only needs to be heard but also understood across realms and our various stages of development.
Victoria spent over a decade in the field of education where she was teaching, supervising and conducting research as a behavior analyst. Victoria's basis for understanding human behavior stems from the behavioral science of learning but has since coupled with psychedelics, biology, and the quantum realm. She has worked with people of all ages, from babies to elders, of varied neurotypes, emotional needs including deep trauma and grief, addiction, and other medical (chronic and temporary) conditions.
Victoria is a native New Yorker who graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with two masters degrees and a PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis. While in graduate school she met Dr. Joyce Wyden, a clinical psychologist whom she calls her fairy godmother. Dr Joyce has deeply influenced Victoria’ s practice and taught her how to look at human development, biological sequence and all experiences as relational, starting in utero. Through such a lens it is understood how our pasts influence our present and therefore can be resolved through awareness, comfort and learning new sequences of behavior.
Victoria was instrumental in creating Mycology Psychology, a psychedelic community for mental health consisting of approximately 25 integration practitioners and thousands of clients and was at the helm of development, marketing and implementation for The Holonic Practitioner, Mycology Psychology’s Microdosing Practitioner Training Program. She left Mycology Psychology at the end of 2023 and currently resides in Santa Cruz, CA with a private practice and consultancy.
Victoria has created therapeutic systems, courses, produced events and educational content, and has published peer-reviewed research. She holds group & individual therapeutic and ceremonial spaces. She has spoken on panels and presented at scientific and educational conferences. She is most recently founder of an integration platform, The Infinity Container where altered states of consciousness and a grounded state of expanded presence are supported and explored. She is a co-host of a podcast called Ghost Stories, about grief and surviving the inevitable, and has appeared as a guest on numerous other podcasts. She takes opportunity to unravel the old hierarchical doctor-patient paradigm to empower and creatively help others navigate the human experience.
